These two Navy T-38's suffered major damage in a hail storm while flying near North Carolina, and made an emergency landing at an Air Force Base nearby.

NASA was contracted to haul the two aircraft to Randolph AFB, Texas for repair by a civilian contractor, Lear Siegler Services, Inc. (LSI).
